"Coup de chapeau", France Lépine
For its 13th edition, the "Coup de chapeau" is a new category that the Conseil Quebecois de la franchise (CQF), equivalent of the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA), added this year to its regular categories where franchisees and franchisors are usually awarded for their achievements during an annual formal dinner.
With this new category, exceptional people are praised for exceptional things they did regardless whether it is for the Franchise, their colleagues or for the Franchisees. So when we were asked to nominate an exceptional person who deserves this "hats off" praise, France Lepine's name came normally to our mind.
Our colleague France is a Territory Director and we considered her worthy of such honor because she's one of those people who have extraordinary resilience before life's tragic events where she, first and foremost, sees the positive things only. She's one of those people who believe that life's experiences are here for the sole purpose of making us "grow". That's why, we nominated her without any hesitation.
During the ceremony, a short video showed France telling her story. Please note that the video is only available in French given that it was prepared by the CQF and we apologize for not being able to have an English version of it.
